Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Chicopee Public Schools to maintain high standards and expectations for all students by involving teachers, parents, and community in the education of our students.

The Chicopee Public Schools will reflect a climate in which staff, parents, and the community foster on-going growth and change necessary to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and values they will need to lead meaningful lives.

District Improvement Plan 2007 to 2010

All students will be Proficient or Advanced in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics by 2013 – 2014. The district will progress from a Composite Proficiency Index (CPI) of 74.9 in ELA and 60.1 in Mathematics to a CPI of 100 in both areas
All district staff will be highly qualified as defined by the NCLB Act of 2001
Professional Development is implemented to increase student achievement
Continuously improve district-wide effectiveness and efficiency in personnel, administrative, fiscal, and student service process
All students graduate from high school
Provide safe, clean, orderly, learner-centered environments
