Kids Discover

Themes-based magazine designed for ages 6 and up.  Covers many fields, including science, but many issues explore historical topics as diverse as ancient civilizations, the Underground Railway, civics and government (what makes a democracy), as well as related social movements such as women’s suffrage.

 

Muse Magazine

Wide-ranging, themes-based magazine designed for ages 8-14, but often contains information and images adaptable for younger learners.  See, for example, the November 2002 issue on Thanksgiving used in this session.
